Oh wow I see what you mean, both of those ideas are actually aids.Flashlight237 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 10:11 pmCertainly. Right here: https://www.eliatopia.com/forum/viewtop ... f=5&t=3155 "However, currently I'm trying to really dial in on focusing on getting the main game and core components complete. So I want to keep my focus on the story and main story, equipment, enemies, skills, areas, guild and PvP features, and a few payvault things since sales still aren't the greatest.cinos wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 3:30 pmUnless you tell us specifically what he said with citations, I'm not adding anything.Flashlight237 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 6:20 pm
The fact that Robby's trying to stifle himself in general, which an indie game dev SHOULDN'T do.
unless you mean the clearly iffy payvault guild exp thing, I dislike that but nobody else argued against it so /shrug
I think this would be something I would like to add, but perhaps after the main story is complete. I just want to make sure the main story part of the game isn't something that drags on infinitely before I start with toooo many side features. This is a good idea though, just that I'm limited on development time/resources. =/"
And here: https://www.eliatopia.com/forum/viewtop ... f=5&t=8329 "Thanks for the suggestion. While what you mentioned could be a neat side thing for the game, I think it would take too much development time and wouldn't contribute enough to the core aspect of the game. There is a thing called "feature creep" in game and software development, that I think this would fall under."
What I'm trying to get across here is Robby doesn't realize that, as an indie game dev, he can do whatever her pleases whenever he pleases to make a game the best that he could, like, without constraints like deadlines and stuff. Put your heart into it, man!
No shame in saying that by the way, mobile ideas like clash of clans/farmville stuff, and "daily rewards" are merely built for greed. I don't even think that 48 hour reward system would be beneficial for robby, let's be real we would all make alts and make lots of emeralds every day. Pretty sure robby doesn't want us to ruin the economy, seeing as it's...you know, his income.
yeah imma have to go with a big no on those, if robby ever reads this, I hope he knows a lot of us would be mad at the pay to win nature of those, plus probably destroy the game's economy on purpose...don't shoot the messenger, it's just what happens once games do really bad decisions like that.
