I thought emerald (and tickets obviously) could support one person, plus flashlight when he's commissioned for somethingwe_can wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 4:00 amyou obviously dont understand how wages work. emes arent a stable enough source of cash to provide a stable wage. theres gonna be times where emes wont be bought as often. robby works another job for a reason. with a lower wage and a job with no benefits, there is no way you will be able to afford healthcare and insurance and whatnot.

why does it even matter if they hire people or not? its still a great game with only 2 people
Re: hire people
Indie game dev is my only full time job.
Hiring more people would have it's benefits. However, depending on the exact work that needs to be done, finding efficient ways to distribute the work is a bit harder than it sounds. Aside from that, Eliatopia isn't at a point yet where I could financially pay more people to work on it full time.

Re: hire people

Yeah, I mean you only got me doing stuff for you, and doing the art for Eliatopia feels more like a hobby to me despite getting paid.Robby wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 7:21 pmIndie game dev is my only full time job.
