Oh, that? You do realize I've made an upgraded Red Archer set as a mid-game set (Romance set), right?

Of course the sword that defeats Xantis is your waifu's OP shapeshifting creation.

supportn't, not because of the former, but because I don't think divine intervention is the real key to truly defeating Xantis. On a narrative level especially, it'd be completely tone deaf for the gods to solve this very mortal issue, imo. Second, having ONE weapon for all classes will make everyone look samey, major nono. Third, good luck giving the same power stat to both warriors and archers, bet that'll go real swell.

Like I get ya, but I really don't dig this, I rather have other, more creative ideas instead of "god weapon of holiness that is holy and also cures cancer" that is literally the same theme for every class.
I think it's entirely a case-by-case basis when it comes to divine intervention (be it boons granted to a hero or whatnot), so I'll let you have that one. Though I will say this: I wasn't going for a regular weapon/set with Excalibur. I was actually trying for, let's say, the Star Rod from Kirby's Adventure and the various "final transformation/weapon" deals Kirby wielded since.

Of course one of the most well-known pieces of Greek literature, the Iliad, was a tale of gods getting themselves involved in a very mortal issue (war), so like I said, it's a case-by-case basis, not something you have to approve or anything. Trust me, I understand your concerns about a convincing narrative, I mean I was the one who went out of my way to make a mid-boss that's an LGBT pharaoh and had LGBT individuals look her over to make sure what I got wasn't some tone-deaf, corporate patronizing bs.

Oh wow the mummy's gay? Neat.

Anyhow, yeah the iliad was about the gods, but it was also not a story about racism, honestly by a more modern perspective (i.e., mine), the appeal of the iliad is having the gods intervene for their own frankly selfish reasons, but also seeing their relationships with the mortals on a personal level (ie parents of semi gods, mortals actually beating or outsmarting the gods), plus the story BEING about how the gods basically screwed over humanity and caused the war (Aphrodite is the worst god and we can all agree on that), not an oppressive government and racism and all that jazz.
Like, to THAT story, the gods are significant, I'd even say they are integral (afterall, Troy is a bad adaptation specifically BEACUSE it removes the gods), but that's, again, because that's how that story was written. Eliatopia wasn't, at all, seriously there has been little or no mention of religion in this society to a significant degree, and that is because it doesn't factor into much for the narrative as a whole.

tl;dr different stories, different degree of godhood needed.

idk if we need smth special to kill xantis, we dont know much abt the dude except he hates humans, which turns out hes also one. his skin looks like ours n stuff so i think hes just some rich wannabe guy like batman or ironman pretending to be god, the green dudes seem to be kinda primitive whilst xantis has magic tp powers and looks like a grey power ranger
send me money or something i want to buy chips or some fries, idk

Excellent worldview, my friend. And yes, that does further show that it is a case-by-case basis. My initial idea for the creation of Moonchyllus was directed towards environmentalism and religion, both ideals being largely affected by politics (Eliatopia's main idea as far as we can tell). With Mother Nature being seen as a supernatural entity revolving around nature, Moonchyllus would've covered both aspects. My idea of her even came with adherents to the religion of Moonchyllus in the form of Logons, with an elderly four-armed Logon serving as a "Great Sage" of sorts.

But yeah, the Greek gods were indeed vain (perhaps even oppressive) in those times. It's quite a departure from gods written in today's stories where most of them basically helped people out indirectly, like boons, weapons, and such. Then again, one of the main characters of Konosuba is a goddess who is about as useful as a washing machine that had a cinderblock tossed into it.

Excalibur would be an awesome last weapon to use in the game. kinda like kratos impaling himself with the blade of Olympus.

Bearing the insignia of Moonchyllus herself, it's the legendary sword itself! The one that will beat Xantis, Excalibur, is here! What you're seeing here is just the inventory/drop sprite. The concept I had in mind with the weapon is it would take on a form that matches a player's highest offensive stat. This means if your highest offensive stat is Finesse, then Excalibur will transform into a whip. Likewise, if your highest offensive stat is Archery, then Excalibur will transform into a bow. That is the might of Excalibur.

So yeah, there you have it.

Fun Fact: Excalibur was originally designed for HH with Trunks' sword from Dragon Ball Z in mind.:

Nah, this is an end-game idea I had.

Think of it more like The Zenith from terraria... I doubt Flashlight would actually want Robby to force us to use this weapon, but it'd be much more symbolic if you did. It's just supposed to be a cool end game final weapon to display how much you've grown.

See, I get that, but I still prefer a game like this to not treat the weapon that's god crafted as "the best one that can cure cancer and aids at once", with a unified all class theme that is doomed to make everyone look samey. Plus, god weapons don't have the actual capacity to be crafted ala ultima weapon style, nor are they as cool as other swords (gilded sword > master sword, fight me).
