Whenever items are placed in the item vendor and their 5 day time limit expires, there is a 20% chance the item will be placed up for donation.
Donation events happen once a day. All of the items placed up for donation will be dropped during the next donation drop event.
Check the donation drop schedule signs in Alion City and Teplar Village for when the next drone drops events are scheduled! It's an easy way to rack up some free items.
Almost forgot to mention.. There is also a 30% chance, during each donation drop event, that the drone will drop a special cosmetic hat, the "propeller hat". The only way to obtain this hat is via a donation drone!
