Reality Of Eliatopia.

While this message is addressed to all, this too is specifically directed towards Robby and Spotters (general).
Note: This is a personal rant about the state of the game and addresses various topics.
Every day a problem arises in this game which ends in a failure of a resolution, or one which lasts a lifetime. To start, lets look at the shape of our economy. Based on the projections given, We've reached a point where this game is a roadmap towards Helmet Heroes. Emerald Prices continue to rise as people make more, and this breeds opportunity for others to overprice and promote a pay-to-win nature. While I'm here, lets debunk some complaints others have about prices. If you check the statistics page, there are incremental steps in money made, followed by updates which introduce items (Leaving us to spend millions until the overall money we hold reaches a low). But ever since the June update, we find ourselves making millions a day, and sets are easy to make...so to anyone who is outspoken against set prices, know that Robby has set the bar this high since the monsters related give insane drops.
Next, lets make sense of the impact of words:
Like most of you know, the majority of players have a helmet heroes background, and one aspect brought was a concept of spotting. While I've been outspoken about the flaws in the system, I wanted to point out how the champions of this failed system have begun to become hypocrites. Ever since the website has released to new platforms, we've seen a jump in players from 60 a day to 100-120. Looking into these new players, many aren't from helmet heroes and therefore not know how the game has run for many months. From this, these new players have started to progress, reaching a point where they actively farm in the factory (home of the spotters). While many of them may die, others power on, able to contest the speed of top players. Since their unaware of the spot system, this has led spotters to now try and outgrind others, which shows how the system they set up has collapsed on themselves.
Note: I mention this as for 2 months, I've been predicting this outcome, and have tried multiple times to resolve this issue yet this counter to spotters has created new problems. (See below).
See, we come to this conclusion thanks to the recent change (unannounced by Robby) that inadvertently both solved yet created new problems. Fernips poison damage was reduced from 18 to 1 while their regular damage has remained at 0. For perspective, many peers have stated that the challenging aspect of the factory was the multiple fernips dealing 18 poison damage and that built an atmosphere of challenges for coming players. With this recent nerf, players as low as 20 have been flooding the area, and have ruined both the challenge of the factory and the necessity for 50% of mobs tasked as being a challenge to users level 10-30. Fernips themselves are possibly the weakest monster to exist now, and no matter how you see it, this is morally wrong (Dumtillians do more for god sake).
Lastly, we have come to the reality of how the factory has ruined the game. Over these past 2 months, top players have challenged each other for spots and make others wait for hours just to farm (a fundamental need in the game). This in short has shifted the name of top players from 40-60 to 70-100 which isn't a bad thing, though is a warning sign. To suck the factory dry, this warning sign shows how a community can influence others to commit acts of wrongdoing. To Robby, your game is at steak of repeating itself with the upcoming update. Just as the factory has created this, so will new areas. I may not have a solution at hand, but take note and realize how this system will repeat itself for years to come.
I leave with a personal quote:
What is virtue to one? What does it mean to contribute to society and be a vessel to good? Is it personal selfishness or a desire to help others? In this game, I think not.

Oh yes the "spot system's" problem is just that newbies dunno how it works, haha yeah okay bub.
"Spotting" is for bιtches, there is no need to teach new players this dumb...I dunno what to even CALL it, it's not a mechanic, nor "ethic", it's just some whiney mf telling EVERYONE to back off just so he can profit.
Completely agree on the factory nerf being bad tho, game needs a challenge.

-? I've always been against spotting. I'm saying that new players have ruined spotting which is a good thing, but that has also caused more problems. I have also stated that this will also make the existing spotters hungry for xp and therefore will bring this to the new areas come the updatecinos wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 3:25 pmOh yes the "spot system's" problem is just that newbies dunno how it works, haha yeah okay bub.

I also say that their unaware of how the game has run because thats the truth. Spotting is everywhere. I never stated that we teach them it because I hate the system too. I've ranted tens of times on spotters.cinos wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 3:25 pmOh yes the "spot system's" problem is just that newbies dunno how it works, haha yeah okay bub.

Re: Reality Of Eliatopia.
The problem with spotting comes from 2 main problems. The first is people actually obeying it, and the second is areas being setup with "spots". The factory, clearly, is not a "run around and grind the whole map" type of area, is it a "sit in 1 spot for 10 hours" type of area. This results in people trying to claim "spots", not to mention the fact its essentially impossible for two players to grind in 1 cage at the same time. (these areas also promote botting unfortunately)
Areas like shellshockers or even the new area (forget the numbers), have much less spotting, if any at all. This is because they are wide open areas where you are pretty much forced to run around and make use of most of, if not the entire area.
I made a suggestion a while back about making areas more open and spread out like these for the future, to discourage spotting and also help prevent botting. Robby did comment on it, and I believe in the future he is going to continue with areas more like this, hopefully anyways. If he does continue with areas like these, I think we will see the spotting problem slowly fade away, or at least become very minimal.
The issue in the meantime is the factory is one of the best, if not the best place to grind, for both money and xp. Since the demand for the area is so high, that's where the problems persist. Eventually the factory will become somewhat irrelevant and the new (hopefully) spread out areas will be used more, and spotting won't be as much of a problem.
Another issue to keep in mind (specifically for Robby) is the game population. Even if all the best areas are large and spread out, if the game population continues to grow, those areas will turn into "spot" areas. What I mean is if the area is meant for 2-4 players to have to run around and grind, if there then becomes a constant 8-10 players in the area, it becomes useless to run around, and players will just camp the spawnspots. This is what we saw happen in the caves a while back when mobile came out.
In the meantime, just troll spotters and eventually they won't even spot you. Most of the higher level players already know that I won't obey their "spot" rules, so they don't even bother saying it to me anymore.

Re: Reality Of Eliatopia.
Eeeehhh I'm not really convinced on emeralds being a bad thing. Robby has to make money somehow and event then you don't have to buy them. You also mention Helmet Heroes which isn't really a completely fair assessment considering HH was a real p2w game. But why isn't it fair? Because the ticket prices went up and down quite a bit in 2017. They would go from 150k down to ~60k then towards the end of 2017 started to go as high as 300k before dramatically dropping after a few months.
What I'm saying is emerald prices are going to change within a few months and something like this has happened already. Just last October I sold 200 emeralds for 60k per thing. That's INSANE, and just in january or so emerald prices were like 5 - 15k! So emerald prices aren't fixed and is going to change. This is the only thing I'm gonna comment on this post on because I mostly agree with you.

Not to mention Eliatopia does not have infinite stat boosts to turn your pet into a roided up afk machine that can kill kreetus.troopas wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:47 pmEeeehhh I'm not really convinced on emeralds being a bad thing.
