I'm probably pushing the "sacrifice" skill tree to it's limit just to see how dumb it can get, but what if we full on added loot sacrifice aswell? Like uhh I dunno how we could scale it, but I'm pretty sure it would either be via the item's level requirement or value. First stage is probably just dropping items under 1k, then the second stage is items under 5k, then 10k, then 30k, and then after that literally just all unequipped loot INCLUDING runes, which is a debatable topic. Runes are only valuable in the community's economy, in-game they are sold for like 3 coins. Therefore they would NEED to be excluded from the norm and be added as just part of the final stage of the skill (or possibly scale them via the type of rune, ex: stage 2 drops stage 1 runes, stage 3 drops stage 2 etc etc).
Basically, how DUMB can we get? Well, very VERY dumb. This isn't even something I genuinely want, I'm just morbidly curious, maybe people really DO want this.

I would definitely consider this.
Would like to hear some more feedback from players if they would want this added or not first.
