I dunno about wizards but I do know that single guns and swords are only good for saving up money, otherwise you're better off using duals.

In my opinion wand is better, not only for mage, but as well as other classes 1 handed weapon is better. 1 hand weapon give u lower damage than 2,but equipped 2 weapon on hand give you better damage than 2 handed weapon. When we talk about mages, yes 1 hand weapon giving you lower damage when casting a thunder cloud but it gives you faster attack than when you equipped 2 hand weapon. Ex. Lighting cloud strike every 3 sec with 2 hand weapon, but it strikes every 1 sec when equipped with 2 1 handed weapon. In HH we know that everyone choose 1 handed weapon because it much better than 2 hand.

In my opinion tho the staff does better cloud damage and only has a little damage difference to wands and cheap too. Im looking for a weapon suitable for grinding and for pvp. I think staffs do great. I saw mages when i was a new player in pvp with staffs and they were SUPER strong.

I also noticed that robby put a word (DUAL) next to the damage of people who use dual weapons. Does this mean like thats the over all damage of both weapons combine?

I'm pretty sure (DUAL) means that there is 2 weapons with that damage output. Try equipping one wand while your profile is open, then a second one.

Wands are WAYYYY better. Yes they are more expensive, but its well worth it. the (Dual) means that damage is for your equip 1 weapon only, so if you are using the same weapon for equip 2, you can multiply that damage by 2 to get your full damage. I have both 2 jester wands and jester staff, I never use the staff and only use the wands because they do literally almost x2 the damage, not to mention x2 the chance for a crit.

Storm cloud damage is higher from a staff, but it procs less frequently, as an example:

Staff will proc every 2 seconds doing 100 damage
2 wands will proc every 1 second doing 70 damage (so 140 damage per 2 sec)
