How does EXP sacrifice work?

Right now I have 20k/680k exp bar.

I upgraded exp sacrifice to stage 3. It says I lose 60% when I die.
I want to understand which 60% will I lose, the 20k? or the 680k?

In case where I only have 20k exp out of 680k, will my level roll back if in case I die?

You should lose 60% of your current exp (aka the 20k), but Idk Robby could have broken something.

I believe I actually have it so you will lose 60% of the total XP required to get to the next level.

So lets say you need 100xp to get to the next level, and your current XP is at 40, and your xp sacrifice is at stage 3 (60%) like your mentioned. You would then lose all of that XP and it would bottom out at 0. Note that you CANNOT lose levels with the skill, it will simply stop at 0.

In the same case, if you had 80 xp and you died, you would be left with 20.

Feel like this should work the other way around. Basing it off of the max exp is a bit too harsh. As you get more exp, the risk of you dying is much greater than being at like the start of a level.

Lol, to begin with all sacrifice skils is not a good skill to upgrade. Especially that item sacrifice, too much risk on that one. By upgrading those skills it mean that the player sure they wouldn't die even once. But who know that one day due to bug or mistake player will die and lose everything. For those who maxed out those 3 skills, i believe one day they will regret it. Such a stupid skills, a troll skills.

You die, you lose what the sacrifice says you lose, the end.
