How about that the pets cannot have stats higher than yourself so it won't be overpowered and it would only hurt monsters that you hurt, so you can't AFK since you have to damage the monster first.

You can literally afk even with that function

are you stupid? having pets that have the same stats as you is OP af, I can 1-shot most things, so my pet will too, the having to dmg the enemy first seems practical, but when u 1-shot an enemy, it makes the pets useless, it's like having a tamed wolf in Minecraft, and then using a netherite axe and then critting a creeper, 1-shotting it, making the dog useless, unless you want it to attack nothing, but that's just stupid
