What is the point of it? It adds nothing to the game besides a huge inconvenience for anyone who plays during that time. The NPCs at Renegades, the outdoor shop, and all the other outdoor NPCs can be there doing the same thing 24/7 but the ones in the guild hall and other shops need a break?
It literally works like that in Animal Crossing (Nook's and the Able Sisters' shops are closed, but the Museum remained open 24/7) and guess what? NOBODY COMPLAINED. It adds a sense of realism in an already cartoony game (which both Animal Crossing and Eliatopia are); only difference is since Eliatopia closing times last a mere 5 hours as opposed to Animal Crossing's 10 hours, you have far less reason to go on about that than you do with Animal Crossing;s closing times.
Im not sure if you noticed bro but Im not on the Animal Crossing forums rn, I couldn't care less what Animal Crossing does as I have no interest in playing it. Literally nothing about this game is realistic, including the shops closing "feature" for the reasons I mentioned above. There is literally no point in having this, like I said it only adds an inconvenience to the game for players who play during that time, and I would assume based on the players I talk to and the support from this post, most players agree with me and want it removed.
Yeah, sure! Go ahead! Support their blatant ignorance! I don't care! As long as I have more reason to OPPOSE shop-closure removals than you do, I'm fudging cool with it!

You did not provide even 1 reason to support shop closures... I think something brining no benefit to the game and actually causing a huge inconvenience to players is a great reason to remove it from the game, but sure keep it "cuz Animal Crossing" bro

I provided THREE reasons. How is that "not providing one reason?"

REASON 1: Animal Crossing, which Eliatopia borrows MANY mechanics from, did the shop closure thing.
REASON 2: Shop closures provide a sense of realism to the otherwise cartoon-y game. Don't believe me? Look at literally any store in your neighborhood and tell me they don't have closing times.
REASON 3: FIVE HOURS of closing time is SIGNIFICANTLY less "inconvenient" than Animal Crossing's TEN HOURS.

Oh, and by the way, if you're wondering why I'm pissed off, this happens EVERY GODDAMN TIME SOMEONE REFUSES TO LISTEN TO ME! It happened to me so many times that I REFUSE to let it happen again!

No support. It worked with Animal Crossing, which had LONGER closing times by the way (no, you can't cheat in New Horizons), so it works fine here.

YEAH! And the reason it works is because it actually uses your real time instead of being x amount of hours ahead or x amount of hours behind which ruins the whole "realism" experience. I don't care if the excuse is because they're on another planet.

My main focus is on the stores. I don't really mind the guild house, burger boys, or the sharpening/hardening store closing.

We really shouldn't have to wait just to sell our loot, buy new gear, or even buy ammo. It's just gonna cause people to stop playing the game until they get another chance to sell their most likely full inventory.

All for a realistic mechanic? We may as well have a hunger/thirst bar and die by a heat stroke when we play too long as well.

None of what you said is a reason why shop closing is a good thing for the game lol.
1) Elia also borrows MANY things from HH too, so we should add books and make the game p2w then too right? Because HH has it then Elia should too even if it doesn't benefit the game/players at all?
2)As I already said, having the shops closing is not realistic at all, unless EVERY NPC is going to go take a nap for those 5 or however many hours as well. It doesn't make any sense to only have some of them do it. Look at literally any store in your neighborhood and tell me one that has the same person standing outside of it 24/7 saying the exact same thing, or having the same exact person working the counter at all hours the store is open. Plus this game has nothing realistic about it, why start trying to make it realistic? It's a game revolving around killing cartoons for coins and leveling up, not going to the grocery store...
3) Because the inconvenience is less than another game its ok to still keep the inconvenience even tho it adds literally nothing beneficial to the game, its less inconvenient so its fine?

Let me rephrase my statement; You have not provided one reason why having the buildings close for a period of time every day provides any benefit to the players or makes the game any more enjoyable, which ultimately the game should be based off of making it an enjoyable experience for its players, correct? In fact it does the exact opposite of that.

Also. I really don't know why you're so invested in this considering you don't even buy anything new from shops and really on grind mobs. Realism is also just a poor excuse since we were frozen in a METEOR flying THROUGH space and went to an ALIEN planet in 5 YEARS. Not to mention everyone has 1 eye is green and also speak ENGLISH. That's also ignoring literally EVERY SINGLE MONSTER AND HOW THEY'RE CREATING MONSTERS. Realism is NOT a concern for anyone and shouldn't be an excuse.
EDIT: Realism also fails as an excuse since this feature DOESN'T EVEN WORK WITH EVERY SHOP. If realism was REALLY a concern why would SOME shops stay OPEN? REALISM CAN'T BE USED AS AN ARGUMENT!

Both of you make drama because of this? Really?.
Flashlight -yeah you're right, i also would keep it the way it is now and those 5 hours are not whole day so everyone can get used to it and plan how to avoid any inconvinience with it-simple. But the way you argument here is just bad(don't wanna use any worse phrase for it). Act like a man not like kid, and literally yelling that you get mad coz someone have different opinion-it doesn't suits you.
CrazyVanilla-you said what you wanted and even more so why you keep arguing? You said you and your friends wanna change-ok so why only few ppl says support, not like few dozens of them? If you want a reason-if the stores are closed for few hours, you have to think-in other words it force you to use your brain to be prepared to have enough food, arrows, bullets, not only act like robot-farm/grind/buy/sell.It forces you you to have a plan.
I don't wanna argue at all -that is just waste of time so just stop.
Hope this will end this nonsence.
