as we can see here in this picture of a cutscene, where you see xantis for the first time, you can see his skin. its not appearing to be eliatopian or a renegade either, but the only thing we see that mostly relates to is a human skin.
so that conforms that xantis is probably human, or some kind of genocidal guy that wears human skin for fun. and the set xantis is wearing is probably hand made by himself. but what if xantis was never human, that person who's wearing that armor might be controlled and doing his evil doings to control eliatopia?
but who might be the human that xantis is brainwashing? it might be the first human to crash land in eliatopia first? or a human from that probably connects to Hemet heroes, since they both are in a connected universe, and the area your going to is in the same planet as helmet heroes took place in.
the mushroom and tropical area are from helmet heroes, and probably one of the last area's. and in fact, some of the enemies in helmet heroes evolved. like the mushroom bouncer, the enemy you first see in the mushroom area. the crabs, great frogs, night stalkers, leaflings, and puff monsters habitat were probably destroyed by xantis. but for all we know now that is cannon to the story is that xantis has human skin.
