this is an old suggestion, but here.

Boss tokens,
there will be like a tombstone or some sort of special place where you enter specific boss tokens to summon specific bosses. (Because bosses spawning freely is being abused)
(I do it too sometimes because why not)
So there will be specific boss tokens, some will drop at the specific place the boss spawns example, logons. To spawn lumbercore you will need a lumbercore token, to get lumbercore tokens. You will either buy them from a special npc that sells them, or craft them from killing logons (logons will drop them)
An example is
Logons will drop logon tokens and you will use those logon tokens to make a lumbercore token, you will need 100 logon tokens to spawn a lumbercore (their drop rates are like sticks, but youll need alot if you wanna spawn)

This will also work for all bosses, but i just used the lumbercore for an example

When Moonchyluss (think I spelt it wrong .... 3rd boss) comes, grinders will obsess over farming her (came out wrong), I do wonder what will happen to Ol' Lumbercore when that happens though .... but I just feel this is unnecessary and wastes time .... what? is lumbercore gonna have it's rewards buffed as well? are you gonna go through the trouble of killing 100-300 logons just to get 419 EXP/Gold at the end with no guarantee of a drop? (lol that'd stink actually.)

This isn't really a good idea. For one, this is a waste of inventory space, and secondly, players should not have to go out and farm for something just to fight a boss. Especially when a boss does not have guaranteed drops.

I'm with Jakub and Savage0. I already had a farmer-proof idea for Moonchyllus where Moonchyllus herself fights alone instead of with monsters spawning wherever. While Jakub's inventory concerns can be addressed by having the tokens be a purely UI thing, I would think its a waste of time, plus it isn't going to stop people from just racking up the tokens and having free reign over any of the bosses.

This also would interfere with Robby's setup with the bosses already in the game since Robby had set up the Ooze Horror as a story boss while Lumbercore is an optional mid-boss that's out-of-the-way from the story. I mean Macguffins (as in keys and/or quest items) are cool, but limited arbitrary tokens like that are just going to halt story progression.
