you can literally outpace the coins by just walking, you need to walk left and right for a bit so the coins actually catch up to you

I'd rather keep coin magnet the way it is. I'm sorry, but as a looter myself, I don't think you should be encouraging my kind more.

Agree, coin magnet should make coins move faster, tho lets not forget about looters problem which-surprise, can be easily fixed by finally adding loot delay.
