Renegades and Caves

So yeah, looks like we'll be moving into a cave. In response, I've made stuff for the Renegades and the caves we'll be hittin' up. Here we go.

First up, here's a reminder of the fruit I've made since that will be important for the Renegades to have. Grizzle even brought it up.:

I'd go for apples, oranges, bananas, mangos, star fruit (new), and carrots. Anyway...

After that, here's a mining helmet, which would be a good cave monster drop and an important item for ambience.:

Yeah, it's a mining helmet, which is also used for exploring caves. It's got a light on it. Yep.

Next up, here's a staff for the Citonium set: the Citonium Lamp.

I was going for a street lamp motif as the set was inspired by Courtney from Total Drama. Yep.

Next up, we got the main attraction: monsters. For this one, I got four. First up, here's a glowworm.:

It'd probably be either a mob or an NPC (making it the first animal NPC). It's main gig? Lighting up caves.

Next up, we got a bat that's all ears.:

This would be the first flying monster if it's implemented. This bat was inspired by false claims that bats are blind. This bat is actually blind, but to make up for it, it's got a head full of ears. That way, it can use echolocation from any direction. Yep.

After that, we got a drill mole.:

It was rushed, I'll admit. Heck, Robby could come up with a better design than my rush-job. I just really wanted a drill mole in the game, so I made this thing as fast as possible.

Lastly, we got a stalagmite that shoots rocks.:

Yeah, a stalagmite. I figured it would work. If it had a texture, it would fit into the game much more, but Illustrator doesn't do that, so yeah.

That aside, that's all the cave stuff.

Also, a new monster. Here's a sketch featuring a provisional drop-list and an ending frame of the kappa's wrestling move:

I've since amended the drop list to feature more items. See, I want the theme of the Kappa's drop list to be oriental items. As such, here's the REAL drop list I'll be suggesting for the Kappa.:

Kappa Drop List: Cucumber (cucumbers are a kappa's favorite food), Oriental Hat, Bo Staff, Ninja Hood, Ninja Gi, Ninja Pants, Ninja Socks, Kunai, Shinobi Hood, Shinobi Gi, Shinobi Pants, Shinobi Shoes, Katana

Here are all the new items I've made for the Kappa's drop pool.:

It makes perfect sense for Kappas to carry purely oriental items, so I think the Oriental Hat would make a perfect small-drop. Oh, and the bo staff is not magical (who even thinks that?) and is a two-handed weapon. Based that off real-life bo staffs.

There are no weapons because Kappas don't rely on weapons. They're sumo wrestlers, basically. Personally, I'd say the carapace and tortoise shell should have more defense than every other piece in the set, I mean come on. It's a shell; expect it not to defend? I personally think the Kappa set should be a tank set rather than a set meant for any particular class. Mhmm.

But yeah, there's that.

Oh man, that turtle guy looks super good! Not sure if/when, but it'd def be cool to add him in at some point or another. The turtle armor is pretty sweet too.

Bumping up the Kappa because I think a monster would give players a better reason to upgrade to newer sets
