Mages should be able to regain mp every few seconds or so to not make them just a lamer warrior

This has already been suggested. I do not recall if robby said this was a guaranteed feature but i'm sure it is.

How would this in any way be a knock-off if one ability was the same?

there are many things that are almost the same as HH

This will be added today in the next patch. MP will be able to be restored when sitting, just like HP.
