I have an alternative to your book problem
Instead of having them available for purchase books could be earned through quests, riddles, and achievements
Yes there is big problem for moving around the map a simple trick is to re-login then you start at the spawn point of every map part its not exactly a fix but it should satisfy your needs for now
a cool thing i would like to see added is a ( friend request system )
this potentially gets rid of all the beggars and random messaging people the cancerous ADD FRIEND system that is exactly the same as helmet heroes is out of hand
Also another problem is that if that EXP system gets scrapped the armor/weapons level also need to be scrapped to match
which bring me to another point there are people running around at level 20+ with endgame gear which is very displeasing for me to watch as they run around killing every mob in-game at such levels

Re: Some suggestions
1. An old system I thought of was directly affecting player levels. The way I had it, every 50 levels, the amount of stat points you can increase every level after by 3. Like, for instance, a Level 51 player would get 6 stat points, a Level 52 player would also get 6 stat points, and a Level 101 player would get 9 stat points, and so forth, so forth. Funnily enough a fictional VR MMO that served as the main setting the light novel series BOFURI did something similar where every 10 levels, a player would get 10 skill points instead of 5. I dunno what game the writer based that mechanic on, however.Cosmic_Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 6:37 pmI have an alternative to your book problem

2. I wonder why there aren't any quests or puzzles in the game. That would really help the game branch out (not to mention they are a necessary mechanic in MMOs).
3. I believe achievements are entirely up to the game developer whether they would be implemented or not. There's really nothing wrong with it, and I've seen achievements ranging from simple completion bonuses for the sake of bragging rights like Playstation Network and Xbox Live achievements to an actual way of unlocking content like in Kirby Air Ride and Super Smash Bros games from Brawl onward. I just think its a choice.
4. That would definitely be nice. I always felt it weird how HH limited the amount of friends one can have, especially since it doesn't help stop beggars.
5. I don't see how that's a problem myself. The best monsters and equipment are meant for players in the late Level 20s to early Level 30s, at least that's what Robby told me about Logons. Us top tiers who played the game since the beginning and made our way into the Level 40s are more along the lines of outliers.

Robby has already confirmed books will not be returningCosmic_Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 6:37 pmI have an alternative to your book problem

It worked in Animal Crossing, but that was because Animal Crossing had its own workarounds. I had to make a workaround in the form of Wandering Merchants knowing it'll end up being an issue without a workaround eventually: https://eliatopia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1189
