Like I said, I don't think it's a problem with the game, but more of your phone. Also, I don't think it makes a difference with gameplay.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll see about getting it to take up the entire full screen for phones with weird notches like this. The new update should be out soon, so let me know if it takes up the FULL screen for you in the update.
