So yeah, Halcon brought this up. What if we recycle runes from enchanted gear when selling them? I'm thinking something like this myself.:
S1 Lunatic Hammer gets Sold: Nothing
S2 Lunatic Hammer gets Sold: S1 Sharpening Stone
S3 Lunatic Hammet gets Sold: S2 Sharpening Stone + S1 Sharpening Stone
F2 Lunatic Hammer gets Sold: Stage 1 Fire Rune
P2 Lunatic Hammer gets Sold: Stage 1 Poison Rune
It'll help bring runes back into the trade economy, plus players who had already enchanted gear won't have to grind endlessly to get one flippin' rock again. Also, this could be done.:
S2 Sharpening Stone Traded at Recycling Center: 2 S1 Sharpening Stones
S3 Sharpening Stone Traded at Recycling Center: 2 S2 Sharpening Stones
Mhmm.
Recycling Runes
Re: Recycling Runes
No support because you would end up making money from this when its first added. Right now s1 is rarer and more expensive than s2 and same with fire rune. Adding this will devalue them and make people when the update first comes out super rich.Flashlight237 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 12:03 amSo yeah, Halcon brought this up. Re: Recycling Runes
Cool idea, but so far I want to keep runes pretty rare, and I feel like if I do this players will be able to re-use their runes far to easily. I do realize that when upgrading your equipment, it probably sucks to have to part ways with it. And it probably creates scenarios where players may be holding onto runes for "their next big weapon purchase" or such. So I have plans semi-soon to add a sort of "community auction" system where players can place their items up for auction so other players can buy their sweet used and upgraded items.

Fair, though earlier runes would probably be better off progressively getting more common the stronger the monster that drops them. What I'm saying is if a Scorpee (a monster with a Stage 3 rune on it) were to have a Stage 1 Sharpened Rune like the Fanged Squisher does, the Stage 1 Sharpened Rune should drop significantly more often in the Scorpee than it would with the Fanged Squisher.
