Hacked Equip bannings

Alright so, i mainly just wanna ask what the hacked equip ban means. because theres one person i know IRL that got this ban and he fs does not deserve it if the banning was for hacking (would make sense due the the name of the hacked equip) but i just want to get a explanation on what the banned actually means cus i kinda find this ban a bit dumb imo. but again, an explanation would be nice

alright thank you, i can confirm the snowgun did not do this at all. he bought a ton of emes, sold them (except for a few) and runed/colorized his saw set himself

The bans were automatically made using code. It scanned the database for players who had an item equipped that wasn't showing up in their inventory. Are you able to list of the player's name you are referring to and I can double check?

is that why a guy was complaining of being banned for "duping" when talking to their friend

Hmm, that sounds like it may be a different ban. Anyone banned by the equip hack should have had a ban warning saying something mentioning "equip" not "duping" I believe.

Ever since my all my bought items disspeared, they still showed up in my charactor but not my inv, so when i wore another legging, it permanantly dissapeared. So i learned the lesson of not wearing anything else until the bug was fixed. And uhh, got banned, so can you unban my acc? "Shipsnakop"
