Koth timer cut in half

edk brought me to koth and I found out he wanted me to see how the koth timer was 5 minutes and not 10. CV told me to report it, and I mean- he's not wrong? I literally just arrived, these don't get made in milliseconds.
Afaik this is completely unavoidable and it's just how the hill works now, I DID notice this morning that the victory horn does not play, but I didn't notice it was 5 minutes long until literally 20 minutes ago.

ye 5 min koths are acc more fun imo but i guess it was not intended - timer just goes up 2 seconds on screen instead of 1, each second

Naw imo they're less fun since any actual match should be longer than 5 minutes.

Basically, you know how it is originally 10 minutes for an individual to stand on the koth until they get the prize?

Right now it is only 5 minuntes because the KOTH timer is going up by 2 instead of 1 each second

What edk said, and not it REALLY shouldn't be 5, that's too short for a competition, I think that would make shield scumming it too easy. CV said it was related to server desync, so...idk, take his word for it and do a server restart?

Ah ok, thanks for the clarification. I did just join the KOTH arena and it does appear to be going up in 2 seconds increments for me. Odd. It doesn't appear to be doing that when testing on my test server either, which make this odd and a little harder to test and fix. Have you timed it, does the actual final time appear to be close to 5 minutes instead of 10?

Ye I did time it, its 5 minutes on a regular timer

Ok thanks for the info. I made a minor change which will be out when I restart the server next. This will likely be something I'll have to fiddle with a few times to figure out the issue, since it doesn't seem to be happening on my test server. =/

It seems this issue is still happening. Oddly, I didn't notice it happening directly after restart the server Friday. So it seems, perhaps that it only happens after the server has been running for a little while.

So question: Is everything else working correctly with KOTH? Such as, it is giving out the correct winnner, winnings, etc? It's not giving out double winning or anything like that, is it? Only the timer is having issues?
