Story theory

Now, while I get that most people care more for the simple act of "press C to win" in MMOs rather than the story stuff, hey I did notice some stuff that leads to a pretty plausible theory. Reminder that this has spoilers for practically all the missions so far...
See, the Eliatopians pretty much just hate humans due to Xantis, right? The Renegades are described as halfbreeds of humans and eliatopians, but how about we take this on a whole nother level? I say that the Eliatopians are humans corrupted by Xantis, and that Eliatopia was the original earth all along. The Renegades are simply Xantis-allied humans with non-Xantis humans, which explains why it awakens the red pigment and double eyes instead of...ya know, not doing jack poop. You'd think two completely different species wouldn't be compatible in the slightest. But why would Xantis supposedly corrupt the humans, eh?
Well, let's get busy. The bouncer cave area is not only very obviously the original area from HH (it IS a tribute area), but it also has several shopkeepers with identical names as with the original game, and now very recently a "Ninja" was seen by a few construction workers in the scorpion forest. Now, we all know who that is, Mizon, that member of the really incompetent bad guy squad from HH who basically just chops down trees and uses infant bouncers as bioweapons. So if we take into account that the bouncer cave is in Eliatopia, alongside both tribute and non-tribute items, we could say that HH and Elia both take place in one timeline...and one PLANET!
So with that info you might be asking, where am I going with this? How and why did Xantis corrupt humanity and make non Xantis-allies be frowned down upon? Well, if we go back to HH, we know that most of the world in that game was not particularly advanced in terms of technology, with the most common advanced piece of machinery being guns. One of the only technologically advanced areas in HH is Robo City, a dystopia owned by robots who have practically enslaved humanity, and are able to mass produce themselves. Right next to that is the Wasteland, which is basically just fallout 3. One could say those two areas are connected, you wouldn't think the humans would just surrender to the robots, yes? Well, obviously not without a fight, and as we can see, Robo City fell to the robots, and the wasteland is the aftermath of a war.
AGAIN, WHERE AM I GOING WITH THIS? Xantis was the mastermind behind this whole thing, and while robo city was the first to fall, clearly most of the more compact towns of HH were conquered aswell, the only safe haven being the least technologically advanced and most connected to nature, the bouncer cave. This is why a buncha hippies with no memories of records of the previous earth have scavenged ancient helmets and armory, all of which are from the more advanced locations of HH, which would undeniably fall to the Robots. THIS is slightly supported by the fact that even the earliest, greenest areas of Eliatopia have some kind of technological advancement and/or modern architecture, it's a timeskip
tl;dr Xantis conquered the world of HH, corrupted the humans, and deleted all the records of any previous society, why? I dunno...

I've been playing too much Half-Life, excuse my dumb theory, I had way too much fun writing that, lmao.

Maybe it will happen! Gotta be honest I haven't paid to much attention to the story after the swamp because of the presumed Godzilla like monster :P
