I mean, drop rate really doesn't matter when the amount of spawners for a mob and the spawn rate isn't really there either.

You're not getting the whole picture here. Key phrase, when the amount of spawners for a mob and the spawn rate isn't really there either.forumMikel wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 9:24 amwdym doesnt matter when sets cost a whole mortgage to buyFlashlight237 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 8:08 amI mean, drop rate really doesn't matter when the amount of spawners for a mob and the spawn rate isn't really there either.
Have you ever actually went about comparing the mob spawns of, like, any mob? Look at Grunts: all their item drops amount to a loot value of $200 according to Robby's tally (which is like $60 resale per mob without Gun Point) and they benefit from fairly fast spawn rates (about 40 seconds a spawn last I checked) and a good spawner count. Feral Beasts got 105 seconds per spawn (I timed it) and their spawn count is sparse (which I think largely has to do with how big they are, but still) compared to Grunts. Also, I'd be scared shitless if they suddenly had a spawn cap of 7 per spawner like Grunts did in the first area of the caves. It wouldn't matter if I, oh, I dunno, spiked up the drop rate of the Wolf Shoes or the Cone Helmet tenfold (which would only bring their share of the monster's item loot value up, say, $300-per-monster if they contributed $30-per-monster on average), or if I just raised the drop rate of their entire inventory by 50%. You'd need a loot value of $2000 for Feral Beasts for them to JUST compare to Grunts if I'm being generous thanks to, guess what? Their spawn rates.
If I went by your logic, if Grunts all of the sudden got Feral Beast spawn rates and spawner scarcity, you would be complaining about the drop rates while ignoring the spawn rates and spawner count. See the problem?
