Eliatopia's Monster Diversity

Post by Flashlight237 » Thu Oct 14, 2021 10:04 pm

Yeah, thinking about it now, Eliatopia's monster diversity is kinda bland, although it is easier to tell what's what in Elia than it is in HH. Then again, part of it had to do with me handling some of the monsters. Right now, here's what we got:

4 Squishers (Squisher, Fanged Squisher, Spiked Squisher, Rafflesia)
4 Plants (Petunia, Leafling, Mandrake, Fernip)
8 Mammals (Shagdaw, Hellshag, Armed Dillo, Agent, Policeman, Grunt, Batling, Puff Monster)
4... Elementals..? (Ground Spitter, Logon, Stalagmite, Lumbercore)
5 Arthropods (Swamp Crab, Scorpee, Shellshocker, Auroch Beetle, Gal Roach)
1 Reptile (Dumtilian)
4 Artificial Life Forms (Ooze, Ooze Horror, Claystone, Cionic Organism)
1 Amphibian (Great Frog)
1 Dinosaur (Night Stalker)
4 Robots (Tesla Crawler, Sentry, Znake, Scrap Bot)
1 Debatable Mob (Steel Block)
1 Fungus (Dome Shroom)
1 Hybrid? (Shroom Warrior)
1 God (Moonchyllus; upcoming)
1 Dragon (Azulong; upcoming)

Not a bird or aquatic life form in sight.

With HH, we got...

6 Gooey Masses (Green Bouncer, Purple Goo, Mushroom Squish, Red Bouncer, Goo Cube, Giant Goo Cube)
2 Fungi (Mushroom Ball, Bouncing Mushroom)
7 Mammals That I Can Verify (Green Walker, Yellow Hairy Monster, Puff Monster, Sasquatch, Aipster, Horned Monster, Omega Fluff)
5 Plants (Plant Monster, Leaflet, Leafling, Pumpkin Creeper, Carnelia)
5 Birds (Flockling, Chirplet, Mushroom Bird, Kraw, Penguin)
1 Dinosaur (Night Stalker)
2 Fish (Fishurn, Proteum)
2 Arthropods (Crabs, Bullopedes)
1 Reptile (Repguana)
1 Dragon (Magmagon; fantasy deals tend to split dragons from other animals)
1 Mollusk (Kraken)
5 Robots (Block Bot, Drill Bot, Bionic Bird, Titanium Vulture, Mongrel)
1 Amphibian (Great Frog)
7 Monsters That Can't Readily Be Associated With Any Group (Orange Crazy, Brick Monster, Glord, Lotus Eye, Dark Beholder, Kreeton, Kreetus)

Furthermore, there are several groups that have species among it, as opposed to HH which only had 1 group with multiple species. These are...

Squishers: Squisher, Fanged Squisher, Spiked Squisher, Rafflesia
Shagdaws: Shagdaw, Hellshag
Crabs: Swamp Crab, Shellshocker

Which I think is good because real-life biodiversity goes all the way down to individual species rather than just make completely different creatures and calling it a day. Mhmm.

But yeah, there's that.

Well, it's only bound to expand afterall. I DID notice the lack of a monkey enemy though, certainly no cebinae extinction happening anytime soon.
